13 new motorhome pitches in the Gelbachtal and Gelbachhöhen valleys
As part of the ‘Gelbachtal Masterplan’ project, a total of 13 new motorhome pitches have been designated in the Gelbachtal and the heights in recent weeks.
The pitches are designed for self-catering motorhomes without supply and disposal facilities and are intended to provide guests with uncomplicated overnight accommodation in the southern Westerwald.

Campsite and caravan site in Eisenbachtal
The Eisenbachtal campsite in Girod offers something special for families with children and nature lovers. The terraced site is surrounded by hedges and offers plenty of pitches. Above all, the wide range of facilities for children and young people goes far beyond the normal offerings of a campsite. Two different playgrounds, lots of free play equipment and, above all, the biotope around a small lake directly adjacent to the campsite make the Eisenbachtal campsite a nature experience for children.
The campsite also offers 5 motorhome pitches of 80m² each with electricity, water and drainage. A bus stop is approx. 1.5 km away. A 24-hour stay costs €8.00 for the pitch. There is an additional charge of € 4.00 for adults (child 2-15 years € 3.50) and € 2.00 for a dog. Electricity costs € 2.00 for the stay.

Caravan site in Montabaur

Montabaur-Wirzenborn:
2 free parking spaces at the parking bays on the L313. The two car parks at the entrance to Wirzenborn can be used all year round (except on the second Sunday in July due to a recurring event). It is not necessary to book a parking space. In Wirzenborn there is the possibility of a stop at the traditional inn "Wirzenborner Liss", where there is also a motorbike museum. It is also possible to visit the pilgrimage church in Wirzenborn.
Montabaur-Ettersdorf:
Two free parking spaces in the car park in front of the village hall can be used all year round (except on the second Sunday in July due to a recurring event). Registration is not required.
Gackenbach:
2 free parking spaces in the car park of the wildlife and leisure park. The two parking spaces in the car park can be used all year round. Registration is not required, please inform the ticket office at the entrance of your planned overnight stay and the parking fee will be waived.
Hübingen:
5 pitches, parking fee per night € 10.00 in the car park at the family holiday village
Information about the pitches: Guests with motorhomes will find a beautiful pitch right on the edge of the forest with a wide view over the Westerwald. You can enjoy the quiet location and start wonderful hikes directly from the pitch. There is plenty of space for children to explore and playgrounds nearby. And there is plenty of exercise for your dogs. Meals can be booked in the panoramic dining room at the reception of the family holiday village. Childcare is also available, as well as a range of courses from archery to pottery or sculpting. The wide range of leisure activities on offer in the family village is open to users of these pitches. Ask at reception for times and prices.

Caravan site in Neuhäusel
Motorhome drivers have been able to find a new pitch in Neuhäusel since last year. The Efferz car dealership has set up overnight accommodation here in the ‘Im Feldchen’ industrial estate. On an area of 2,000 square metres, guests will find twenty pitches up to 5.50 metres wide. Twelve of the pitches are equipped with an electricity connection. Supply and disposal is regulated by modern machines. A pavilion on a green area also offers space to relax and barbecue. A bread roll service, WLAN connection and car hire round off the offer for motorhome owners. The bus stop to Koblenz and Montabaur is just 100 metres from the pitch.
A 24-hour stay, including waste disposal, costs €8.00 - two kWh of electricity and 80 litres of fresh water can be obtained from a vending machine for an additional euro.
